The talk of the town or at least among the electric shaving community is Braun's 9 series. Everything about this shaver screams "you can't touch this" equipped with the hammer pants. I mean, it's got everything you could possibly want in a shaver. You need to know that each model in the 9 series do have some differences, so make sure you know which one will suit your needs.
Why I prefer Braun 9 Series 9093 over the 9095cc & 9090cc
For instance, this shaver is soooo much cheaper than the 9095cc/9090cc because it doesn't come with a cleaning/charging station and it's not a corded shaver. So if those two missing components don't really matter to you then enjoy the couple hundred dollars of savings in your pocket.
The intelligent sonic technology on these shavers is totally up to par in regards to up to date technology. 10,000 micro vibrations are responsible for cutting hairs so fast and efficient capturing more hairs than ever before--this intelligent sonic technology is also the primary factor in why this electric shaver is becoming the first shaver to come the closest if not equal to the shave you will get with a manual razor without the skin irritation aftermath.
Now don't quote me on that, as that may just be my excitement for these shavers talking irrationally but see for yourself. On my review on the Braun 9095cc I couldn't really justify spending so much even if the shaver is incredible but with the 9093s you get that same experience minus a couple things without spending a fortune.
The pivoting head and flexible cutters will make your face feel like you're a king while it is ignoring the fact that your wife is the one that wears the pants in the house. 🙂 Don't you want to feel like a king even if it's just for a short time in your bathroom? Ha!
Since this shaver doesn't have a cleaning station, so you have to just do it the manual way, which I find is a case of the "no problemos" because it's cheaper but you're still getting the top quality shave. My shaver doesn't need it's own prissy bathtub. *Note: I'm not calling dudes that like having a cleaning station prissy, I'm just trying to make myself feel better for being a cheapo. 😉
What’s the difference between the 9 series and the 7 series?
The 7 series uses 3 cutting elements, whereas, the 9 series has 4. They both have the 10,000 micro vibrations going on but the 9 has 40,000 cross cutting per minute action giving it more power. As mentioned above, with that extra power comes with a bit more noise while shaving. The noise isn't too loud but in comparison to the 7 series it will be noticed.
It doesn't come with a cleaning and charging station, so what does it come with?
AC charger, cleaning brush and a storage bag to travel with. You only need to rinse under warm water like other shavers without cleaning stations--no biggie.
What's the noise level on this shaver compared to the 7 series?
Since you're dealing with a lot more powerful motor with the 9 series it will have a bit more noise than the 7 series. Not a crazy difference in noise level but it will be noticeable if you're used to a quieter shaver.
How does it do on 3-4 days growth?
You may want to keep this a daily shaver as their have been some reports about the shaver being a little (just a little) uncomfortable if you're shaving after missing a few days, which is understandable so don't let that deter you from getting this shaver.
This shaver is insanely awesome, mostly because the quality is so high up there you know it will last longer than other shavers. You can feel the ingenuity in this shaver and feel its ergonomic grip leaving you feeling like a king for the morning. I like how we were given an option to have this shaver without the cleaning/charging stand so that folks, like myself, that are on a budget will still be able to enjoy top quality products without having to spend outside of our means.
I actually wish I could recommend spending nearly $500.00 for the 9095cc model because its cleaning/charging station is pretty damn cool. You are getting what you pay for, but I'll still recommend saving your money and rinsing under the faucet the old fashioned way.
