As I researched this topic I'm realizing something. There really isn't a great variety of electric shavers for women that even come close to what the best men's electric shavers have to offer. Why is that? Women have plenty of real estate to cover, … more
My Top Rated Electric Shavers of 2015
2017’s TOP RATED ELECTRIC SHAVER LIST
Did you know that shaving your beard became popular after Alexander the Great declared his soldiers to remove their beards to avoid a liability? Yes, he figured if his soldier’s weren’t going to shave off their beards then the enemy would have something to pull on when in war. Or at least he popularized it in Greece.
Later on, it was known that if you were unshaven you were considered a barbarian, I mean, if the soldiers and Egyptians were clean shaved it has to mean something superior, right? Ha. That is until Abe Lincoln made the chin curtain beard popular then all the “cool people” were sporting beards.
Men love to have a smooth, soft shaved face and their women would agree that snuggling to a scruffy face kinda hurts (I know a lot of men love beards and a lot of women love men with beards, this article isn’t for you), so either you use a manual razor that provides the closest shave possible but leaves your face nicked, burned and cut you will want an electric shaver.
...Here is my list of 2017 top electric shavers
#1 BRAUN 9090 SERIES 9
Just when I think Braun couldn’t top the 7 series or their CoolTec shaver they impress me further. I’m talking about their 9 series.
This shaver has an amazing motor that makes for a faster and closer shave. I thought the 7 series motor was fast until I tried this bad boy out. It is a bit louder than their other models but for the power you receive it is expected.
#2 Panasonic ES-LV81 K Arc 5
Did you really expect the Panasonic Arc 5 to not make this list? With its incredible 5th blade and impressive linear motor that cuts at 14,000 CPM this shaver was designed for the top five.
If you have a thick beard then you will be very pleased with this beauty.
#3 Braun Series 7 799CC
Yeah, I know it’s pretty unfair to have the same brand make the top 5 list twice, but Braun can’t help that they keep listening to their customers needs and building excellent shavers that exceeds technology standards for a shaver.
Their 9 series may be the best right now but if you’re trying to save a buck or two their series 7 still follows suit for being a shaver not to mess with as they both are quite similar minus the fact that the 9 series has a faster motor.
#4 Philips Norelco 1250X/42 SensoTouch 3D
Foil shavers not for you? If you want rotary, stick with the king. Philips Norelco SensoTouch 3D is an amazing shaver. The 3 rotary heads practically mold to your face while pivoting in different directions and you don’t have to worry about your shaver slipping in the shower with its amazing ergonomic design making this baby anti-slip.
#5 Remington XR1370 hyper series
Okay, this shaver may not be the “top 5” per se, but I wanted to include a more affordable shaver for the frugal folks out there while still showcasing a quality shaver. You can save money while still getting a good shaver.
Remington stepped up their game big time with the XR1370 hyper series because the shavers that came before it were lacking a little something. This rotary shaver may not be the top 5 but it’s definitely one of the best affordable options for the beginners or people wanting a basic shave.
When choosing an electric shaver you've got to remember that each person has their own specific needs. Here we will be talking about electric shaver's that will work best for black men. Black men have softer skin, which means it's more sensitive. … more
