Panasonic Arc 4 is a great option if the arc 5 is just too intense for your skin. It embodies the same fast linear motor as the arc 5 but is much, much cheaper. This shaver has an awesome 360 degree pivoting head that will move forward and backward then side to side--yes, sir--no contour is too difficult for this beauty with its four independently floating blades. Keep on reading our Panasonic Arc 4 review..
If having 4 cutting blades isn't enough then you're going to like the fact that the Nano Tech blades are made of hypoallergenic material which is what will help give you an irritation free shave--comfort is this shavers sole purpose, well aside from wanting to cut that stubborn hair of yours. 🙂
You also should know that you won't have to bother worrying about pulling of your hairs or the tugging because the Nano Tech blades work interchangeably with the extremely fast motor providing a very close shave with no skin irritation.
What’s the difference between the Panasonic Arc 4 & Arc 5
The first obvious reason is the ticket price— The Arc 5 is expensive. Second, the motor on the 5 is a bit stronger and with that brings a noisier shave—a great shave, though.
I'm starting to lose my hair and want to shave the rest of my hair off--will the signs of balding show if I shave it all off?
Using the Panasonic Arc 4 to shave your head will work well and the areas where you are starting to go bald will not be obvious to onlookers--it will just look like you wanted your head shaved. Our secret...shhh. 😉
I currently own the Arc 3 and I'm thinking about the upgrade--should I?
The Arc 4 will give you a faster and more efficient shave because of the extra blade that will work in connection with the extra 1,000 cpm you get, since the Arc 3 has 13,000 cpm instead of 14,000.
With all that said, I honestly think you should keep the shaver you have if it's still giving you great shaves, daily. Just wait until the current shaver kicks the bucket and by that time the Arc 4 will be cheaper or better yet, the Arc 5 will be more affordable.
Can I use this shaver in the shower?
You sure can and not only that but you can clean it while you shower, as well. Pretty convenient.
Can I use this shave while it charges?
Nope, none of the Panasonic shavers come with that feature, unfortunately.
How do I clean this shaver?
For the ES-LF51-A/ES-LA63-S models you will just need to flip the foil head over and turn the shaver on utilizing this shavers sonic vibration and run it under hot or warm water.
The ES-LA93-K comes with a cleaning station and with that it cost a lot more than the models aforementioned. The cleaning system needs to be used in conjunction with the detergent cartridges. I personally think the cheaper the better and the low maintenance shavers seem like a more sensible purchase, but if you have the extra loot and want your shaver pampered a little extra, have it--it's a terrific shaver whichever version you decide on. 🙂
This may sound weird, but does this shaver work well with wrinkles?
That question is actually more common than you think, but to answer it, yes it will work just fine on our older fellas. You just have to make sure to stretch out the areas that contain the wrinkles when shaving over the area. Make the area taut/stretched and you should do fine.
It is clear that Panasonic makes their shavers with the best quality. Strong and built to last a long time. The Arc 4 can perform well on full beards or the shortest beards with the fast motor working interchangeably with the 4th blade. I really dig what this shaver has to offer and that you can save even more money opting for the shaver without the cleaning station.
If the 4th blade is still not enough for you then I suggest you go take a read on the Panasonic Arc 5 with the world's first 5 blade cutting system.
